This event was more than just a conference it was a celebration of the achievements, contributions, and leadership of women shaping the future of earth sciences in Namibia and beyond.
Our members shared their research, experiences, and visions, inspiring young women and creating a supportive community that encourages diversity and inclusion in a traditionally male-dominated field. By amplifying these voices, the conference highlighted the importance of gender equality in science and empowered the next generation of female geoscientists to pursue their ambitions with confidence.
Through this event and ongoing efforts, YES Network Namibia continues to foster an environment where all voices are heard, valued, and celebrated.

Our members have represented Namibia at major international conferences like the YES Network Congress (Berlin, Tanzania) and the International Geoscience Conference in Cape Town sharing local research on global stages, building networks, and gaining visibility.

We hosted a scientific writing workshop at the Ministry of Mines and Energy in Windhoek, equipping over 70 students and young scientists with the tools to write research proposals, scholarship applications, and publishable work.
