These workshops equip teachers with up-to-date geoscientific knowledge and practical classroom materials, enabling them to bring fresh, exciting content to their students.

By facilitating the participation of Namibian teachers from schools such as Van Ryhn Primary, Rehoboth High School, and Coastal High School, YES Network Namibia helps bridge the gap between cutting-edge scientific discoveries and classroom learning. Teachers return from these workshops energized and better prepared to inspire the next generation of earth scientists, making complex topics accessible and engaging.
Through the GIFT program, we strengthen the foundation of geoscience education in Namibia, ensuring that young learners gain a strong, practical understanding of our planet’s processes right from their school years.

We hosted a scientific writing workshop at the Ministry of Mines and Energy in Windhoek, equipping over 70 students and young scientists with the tools to write research proposals, scholarship applications, and publishable work.
We contributed to the Women in Geoscience Conference as part of the organizing team and through member presentations. The event celebrated and amplified the voices of women shaping the future of earth sciences in Namibia and beyond.
